27.09.2011 Second National Conference on Tourism in Tajikistan

The Second National Conference on Tourism in Tajikistan under the title "Our vision, our strategy, our plans," held in Dushanbe on the eve.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, tourism organizations, immigration officials and other interested organizations and agencies.

The participants discussed possible ways of developing tourism in Tajikistan and measures taken by the government of the republic to attract foreign tourists. Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Youth, Sport and Tourism Lochin Fayzulloev celebrated the achievements and shortcomings in the field of tourism.

According to the Committee of Youth, Sport and Tourism in 2010 as a tourist destination visited Tajikistan 160 thousand foreigners, as in the first half of this figure reached 110 thousand people.

ZTB members had good opportunity to meet their partners and tourism stakeholder to share their experience and make plan for 2012.
